MISSION
The Altar Society takes care of the Altar, Sanctuary, and Church of St. Ann Parish. The Society works with the pastor and provides vestments, altar linens, candles, bread, wine and decorations for the Church. The Society aims to promote a greater devotion to our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament through Our Lady as Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.
HISTORY
The Altar Society is the oldest organization of the Parish founded after the first pastor was appointed in 1913.
ACTIVITIES
The Altar Society sponsors Buncos, Holy Thursday Candle Sales, Days of Recollection, a Yuletide Bazaar, a Turkey Bingo, an annual Bar-B-Que Plate Sale, a Father’s Day Cake Sale, and other fundraisers to provide for the needs of the sanctuary.

The Altar Society meets once a month (except in May) on the second Sunday immediately following the 8:30 a.m Mass in the Peña Center.

MISSION
The Bible Study Group gathers to read and discuss the Bible and various Church Teachings in order to gain a better understanding of the Word of God.
ACTIVITIES
Each study session consists of Scripture reading, group interactions and a video presentation. We invite everyone to take the journey through the Bible.

MISSION
Adult Faith Formation is geared toward teaching adults about the Church Sacraments. New Testament scripture study is taught to show the foundations of the Sacraments. Adult Formation is required for parents and sponsors of children who are preparing to recieve their Sacraments, but it is also open to any adults who'd like to learn more about Church teaching.

MISSION
Members of this committee minister to grieving families by helping them with funeral arrangements and to find some healing in the loss of a loved one.
ACTIVITIES
Lead a rosary at the funeral home, assist the family in finding lectors and gift bearers for the funeral Mass. For All Souls Day, the commitee organizes a memorial mass for all the families whose loved ones were buried from St. Ann during the year. In addition to this ministry, after the funeral, the commitee contacts a family member inviting them to host a rosary in memory of their loved one in their home (Valley of Tears).The ministry continues by offering the family the opportunity to attend a monthly support group (St. Ann Support Group for the Bereaved). Once a year they hold a Holiday Workshop to help survivors through the holidays.

To offer youth sports and recreation programs emphasizing friendly competition through good sportsmanship "modeled" by adult participants. To invite all participants, Catholic and otherwise, youth and adults, to share in the life of their church and faith community.

MISSION
Guadalupanas promote devotion to the Virgen of Guadalupe, the Mother of Jesus and Our Mother.
HISTORY
The Guadalupana Society is a religious association organized by Mexican-American Catholics to provide leadership in social concerns and perform works of charity. José Navarro, was the first president of the first known sociedad in San Antonio, which was started around 1912 by Fr. Juan Maiztegui, the first chaplain at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
ACTIVITIES
The Guadalupana Society sponsors breakfast every second Sunday of the month to raise funds for the organization. They also host buncos, raffles, and receptions after several events such as the Virgen De Guadalupe celebration and the Posadas. They host a Rosary Novena in preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12.

MISSION
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal and insurance agency for Catholic men and their families. They have a rich tradition of raising funds for local charities and defending the sacredness of life and the marriage of man and woman.
HISTORY
Originally serving as a mutual benefit and insurance society for low-income immigrant Catholics, it has developed into a fraternal benefit society dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and actively defending and promoting the Catholic faith.
There are more than 1.8 million members in 15,000 councils. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men aged 18 or older and consists of four different degrees, each exemplifying a different principle of the Order
ACTIVITIES
The Knights raise funds for vocations and for the parish Religious Education program by holding a monthly breakfast. They host an annual Easter egg hunt, Bingos, serve as ushers, and host an annual Memorial Mass for departed Brother Knights.

MISSION
The Legion of Mary is an association of lay Catholics who, through prayer and apostolic works, develop the spiritual life of the member and participate in the new evangelization of the world. The unit of the Legion of Mary is called a praesidium, which holds a weekly meeting, where prayer is intermingled with discussion of the needs of the parish.
HISTORY
The Legion draws its inspiration from the True Devotion to Mary, as taught by St. Louis Marie de Montfort, and the Founder of the Legion, the Servant of God, Frank Duff.
ACTIVITIES
The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, both in their homes and in nursing homes, and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored by the parish. Every legionary is required to carry out a weekly apostolic work in the spirit of faith and in union with Mary.

MISSION
We honor the request of our Blessed Mother to pray the rosary and pray for an end to abortion and pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We also pray to bring back fallen away Catholics to the Church, to be instruments of peace, teach all who want to learn how to pray the rosary, and distribute free rosaries to all who come to pray. We sponsor the Parish Monthly Holy Hour.

MISSION
We serve our parish family by reaching out to our senior citizens and our Church community.
ACTIVITIES
The Social Club provides a Christmas party for home bound parishioners, sponsor the Ice Cream Social on the Feast Day of St. Ann, decorate the Dia de Los Muertos altar and assist in other Holy Day celebrations. They also host bingos for senior citizens and host fundraisers throughout the year.

MISSION
Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (StVDP) put their faith into action. The Vincentians, as the members are called, follow Christ by serving those in need of food, clothing, and assistance and so bear witness to Christ’s compassion for the poor and broken-hearted. Through person-to-person, Vincentians give their heart and friendship to those they serve.
HISTORY
StVDP was founded in Paris in 1833 by a group of young catholic lay people under the direction of Frederic Ozanam. St Ann’s Conference is the second oldest in San Antonio formed in 1931.
Through donations of food, clothing, and cash, Vincentians help the needy of our parish community making lunches for homeless, assisting with utilities, and providing clothes to those in need. The Vincentians also host an annual picnic for the homeless and provide Christmas baskets for the needy of the parish.
